You'll resolve everyday hardware, software and account issues, set up laptops, systems and access for new hires, deliver IT orientation as part of onboarding, and manage offboarding when employees leave.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 support by phone, email, chat and in person, resolving most issues on first contact.

• Troubleshoot Windows/macOS devices, printers, mobile devices and peripherals.

• Manage user accounts, passwords, SSO and permissions in Okta, Active Directory / Entra ID and Microsoft 365, assign users to groups and apps, and enrol users in MFA (Okta Verify, Microsoft Authenticator).

• Support Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), including mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution lists and licences.

• Support Slack accounts, channels, notifications and integrations.

• Onboard new hires (laptop setup, Outlook mailbox, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Okta apps) and offboard leavers by revoking access and recovering equipment.

• Diagnose basic network issues (Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing) using tools such as ping, nslookup, ipconfig and tracert, and escalate complex cases with clear notes.

• Perform first-line checks on network cameras (IP connectivity, PoE power, NVR/VMS access) and escalate hardware or configuration faults.

• Maintain IT asset inventory and keep knowledge-base articles up to date.

Requirements

• 1–2 years in IT helpdesk, desktop support or a similar role (internships and co-ops considered).

• Diploma or degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11, macOS, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams), Active Directory / Entra ID and Okta, including MFA setup.

• Experience with a ticketing system, ideally Zendesk (similar tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management or Freshservice also considered).

• Working knowledge of Slack as a user and basic administrator.

• Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN.

• Basic understanding of network (IP) cameras, PoE and NVR/VMS concepts.

• Clear written and verbal communication with non-technical users.

Nice to Have

• CompTIA A+ or Network+, Microsoft MS-900 or MD-102, or Okta certification
