The Opportunity

The IT Manager is responsible for leading HIDI's technology operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT strategy. This role oversees the organization's technology environment, manages the IT Technician, partners with business leaders to support operational needs, and ensures reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions across all offices.

This position remains hands-on with infrastructure, vendor management, cybersecurity, and major technical initiatives while delegating day-to-day user support to the IT Technician.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of HIDI's IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and cloud environment.
  • Oversee servers, networking, Microsoft 365, telephony, security systems, and enterprise applications.
  • Manage hardware and software lifecycle, licensing, and IT asset inventory.
  • Plan and oversee technology upgrades, implementations, and system migrations.
  • Ensure business continuity through backup, disaster recovery, and system resiliency.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives and maintain appropriate security controls.
  • Monitor vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation activities.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and organizational requirements.

Leadership & Service Delivery

  • Supervise and mentor the IT Technician.
  • Provide escalation support for complex technical issues.
  • Establish service standards and ensure timely resolution of IT requests.
  • Coordinate after-hours support when required for critical business operations.

Strategic Planning

  • Develop the organization's IT roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Lead technology projects from planning through implementation.
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology.

  Vendor & Budget Management

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and oversee software licensing.
  • Develop and manage the IT operating budget.
  • Monitor technology spending and recommend cost-effective solutions.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience managing Microsoft environments, networking, cybersecurity, cloud services, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience leading technology projects and managing third-party vendors.
  • Intermediate knowledge in scripting tools like VB Script, Java Script, Classic ASP, PowerShell and HTML would be an asset.
