Our team is hiring an IT Business Analyst to join our growing team to work on one of the most important Canadian airport projects.  The successful candidate will collaborate with technology project teams and various business units to ensure the project aligns with business goals, stakeholder needs, and delivering value to the organization. This role requires strong communication, technical, project skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams.

The project involves key technology systems contributing to mission-critical operations and business continuity. AtkinsRéalis’ vast experience of projects and infrastructure operations across key markets provides the successful candidate a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the most important airport projects in Canada.

This position is based at our Project Office in the west end of Toronto, Ontario requiring the candidate to be in office Monday to Friday weekly.

Your role
  • Gathers, evaluates, assures, and consolidates business requirements with respect to technology solutions and the interfaces between solutions.
  • Application of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge methodology, processes and tools in conjunction with ITM Project Management standards and procedures.
  • Collaborates with Program Leads and other technical specialists to confirm and agree business requirements.
  • Collaborates with other IT Business Analyst to ensure consistency of process and approach.
  • Manage requirements throughout the project’s lifecycle to ensure adherence to established scope.
  • Successfully engage in multiple, simultaneous initiatives (which may be at different project lifecycle stages).
  • Provide consolidated progress reporting including the identification of trends, risks, and issues for escalation.
About you
  • Undergraduate degree in business, computer science or 3-year college diploma (or related field) preferred.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification and membership in the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience on a major airport or similar complex infrastructure program in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of continuous business analysis work experience in: Enterprise Analysis, Requirement Management and Planning, Requirement Elicitation & Communication, Requirement Analysis and Documentation and Solution Assessment and Validation.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of the aviation industry is a strong asset.
  • Experience in Enterprise projects, frameworks, solution design, and planning across a variety of technology stacks.
  • Attributes:

    • Strong problem-solving skills and creativity.
    • Ability to analyze complex data and systems to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
    • Desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced technology field. Understanding of IT systems, software, and hardware solutions.
    • The ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.
