It all started with an idea at Block in 2013. Initially built to take the pain out of peer-to-peer payments, Cash App has gone from a simple product with a single purpose to a dynamic ecosystem, developing unique financial products, including Afterpay/Clearpay, to provide a better way to send, spend, invest, borrow and save to our 50+ million monthly active customers. We want to redefine the world's relationship with money to make it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible.
Today, Cash App has thousands of employees working globally across office and remote locations, with a culture geared toward innovation, collaboration and impact. We've been a distributed team since day one, and many of our roles can be done remotely from the countries where Cash App operates. No matter the location, we tailor our experience to ensure our employees are creative, productive, and happy.
The Team
Merchant Experience builds experiences that make nanosellers and enterprise sellers more successful inside of Cash App. We focus on adding value to the Cash for Business experience and creating a seamless integration for Cash App Pay and Afterpay enterprise distribution.
Cash for Business serves "nanosellers" in the Cash App Community, who seek to get paid for goods and services, by turning informal selling and side-hustles into an income stream. We simplify the ability to receive payments for goods & services, enable them to track and grow their earnings by building tools our users need, and empower financial independence.
Our enterprise merchants seek a deep integration with the Cash App ecosystem to enable our customers to use their money to commerce with these merchants. We seek to build seamless experiences for these merchants to integrate that upholds our experience quality for Cash App users.
The Role
As part of the iOS engineering team for Commerce Merchant Experience, you'll develop entirely new consumer and merchant-facing products, and enhance our existing ones. You'll work on products that help nanosellers make their livelihood and interact with their customers while helping our enterprise merchants reach all of their customers by reusing and building green-field experiences.
You will build platforms that scale to address high-priority product needs. You'll also pave the way for the next era of the Commerce team's product development strategies through design, execution, and maintenance of our new products. You will work with internal teams and external partners to ensure the solutions you develop deliver first-in-class products.

  • Learn to craft gorgeous, pixel-perfect UI and animations.
  • Focus on all aspects of product quality, including in-depth metrics and monitoring.
  • Deliver features to tens of millions of customers and sellers, shipping at a fast and exciting cadence.
  • Build new merchant functionality into an app designed to provide real value to their customers.
