The Internal Communications Specialist develops and executes internal communication strategies, enhancing employee engagement and culture while partnering with leaders for effective messaging.
In this role, you will be a cultural ambassador for RWDI, helping to develop our internal communications channels, while building new campaigns to take our culture and employee engagement to the next level. Reporting to the Director, Marketing, you will manage the development and delivery of internal communication content across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
. Participate in the development and execution of the internal communication strategy, ensuring organizational priorities, including business initiatives, mission, vision, values, and people updates, are communicated consistently, effectively, and in an engaging way.
· Develop and deliver clear, compelling communications that inform, engage, and connect global employees, fostering alignment and excitement about the organization’s work.
· Create, manage, and continually optimize content across internal communication channels. Monitor performance and recommend improvements to enhance reach and effectiveness.
· Identify and elevate storytelling opportunities in partnership with leaders and teams across the organization to highlight achievements, deepen understanding of cross-functional work, and reinforce the RWDI brand and culture.
· Partner with senior leaders to develop key messages, communication plans and executive communications that support strategic objectives.
· Support the planning, coordination, and execution of change management initiatives, through targeted and timely messaging ensuring employees are informed and engaged.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Communications, Journalism, Public Relations). An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
· 5+ years of related experience.
· Proven experience in creating and executing effective internal communication strategies.
· Experience with executive-level communication and messaging.
· An understanding of and proficiency in the use of online communication tools, content planning, and digital communication techniques.
· A passion for storytelling with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
· Exceptional organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and to work both independently and across a global team environment.
· A strong sense of accountability and initiative and demonstrated flexibility and adaptability.
