As a valued member of the North American Internal Communications team, the Internal Communications Business Partner role will be critical in developing and executing communication strategies that engage employees and help drive our strategic business priorities across Canada and the US. This role will report to the Sr. Director Internal Communications NA.
This is a contract position until January 2026 and can be in our Florenceville, New Brunswick, Toronto, Ontario or Oakbrook, Illinois office locations.
How You'll Add Value:

  • Ability to translate North American business strategy, priorities, leadership principles and company values into compelling messaging to support business goals
  • Work with key senior leaders to build their voice and profile while supporting key executive communications across channels, including but not limited to written, in-person and virtual town halls/events, annual conferences, plant visits, etc.
  • Work closely with the Global Communications team to support the development and execution of global campaigns at a North American level
  • Work with partners to build communications plans using insights and best practices to drive employee engagement at all levels and support a strong company culture
  • Support communication needs of cross-functional projects and initiatives that impact the broader organization
  • Plan, prepare, and execute the communication plans for the North American Diversity, Equity & Inclusion agenda, including participating in the North American DE&I Council
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communication channels through surveys, metric tracking, etc.


About You:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in communication roles, with a dedicated internal focus
  • Expertise in and understanding of regional and global internal communication matrices, including operations.
  • Ability to work closely with a variety of business partners to make complex ideas accessible to a wide audience, including non-desk workers (manufacturing, agriculture, sales, etc.)
  • Experience developing multi-channel communication campaigns reaching a variety of audiences in unique and creative ways
  • Ability to translate business objectives into relevant and engaging calls to action
  • Strong research, analytical, writing and editing skills
  • Comfortable thinking big and planning ahead, taking initiative and being a self-starter
  • Capable of navigating and operating within a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Proficient in the Microsoft O365 suite, including Teams, Viva Engage and SharePoint
  • Graphic design and basic video editing experience is an asset
  • Synthesize and break down complex information and data and translate it into an integrated and effective communication plan to deliver business goals (message, content and channel recommendations to reach the relevant audience)
  • Ability to think strategically and effectively execute with excellence
  • Ability to manage multiple requests, relentlessly prioritize and create clarity to move with speed and impact.
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization including Senior Leadership Team
