The Opportunity

PICTON Investments is looking for an Intern, Equity Research to join our talented Equity team for the 2026 Summer term. The successful individual will have the opportunity to broaden their understanding of the asset management industry, gain valuable experience in and build a strong foundation in equity research, learn to analyze data and how to effectively articulate results. To optimize learning and ensure an enriching experience, this will be a hybrid internship, located at our Head office in Toronto.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn and lead:

• Provide support by researching and evaluating equities for the firm’s portfolios.
• Collaborate with and provide support to the analysts and portfolio managers, as required.

• Research process-oriented ideas generated by our quantitative investment process.
• Conduct financial analysis (relative value, financial modelling, etc.) for the research team.

What you bring:

• Must be registered in full-time studies at a recognized post-secondary institution.

• Currently enrolled in second year of post secondary studies, pursuing a post-graduate program in Business, Finance, Economics, Math, or an equivalent field.
• Robust analytical skills and the ability to effectively present insights and results.
• Exhibits a demonstrated and high-level intellectual curiosity when researching new topics.

• Demonstrated ability to be a team player.
• Strong organizational skills, self-motivated and results driven.
• Strong computer skills and proficient with Excel.

• Excellent time management, problem solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
