Intermediate/Senior Business Analyst

At Heartland, we do things a little differently. We work in small, empowered pods—tight-knit, cross-functional teams focused on solving real problems for our customers. As a Business Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in turning ideas into high-quality digital solutions that make a meaningful difference.

Is this your next role?

As a key member of a delivery pod, you’ll lead your own workstream from discovery through to delivery. You’ll work with the Head of AI Programme and other BAs, developers, and quality teams to translate business needs into practical, testable solutions. From shaping the problem to validating the outcome, you’ll see your work through to success in production.

What you’ll do

  • Work in a cross-functional team to deliver quality solutions that solve the problems your stakeholders describe
  • Work in project mode, supporting the business on functional requirements, business process mapping, customer journey and other activities to support the delivery of programmes of work
  • Understand how the people who look after our customers work, and how we can help
  • Live a little in two worlds, understanding both the business requirements and the technical solutions
  • Propose solutions that are scalable and reusable

Does this sound like you?

With excellent communication skills, you have business analyst process mapping and customer journey mapping skills in financial services or a digital environment.

You’re a functional Business Analyst with:

  • Experience running workshops
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships
  • A track record of identifying problems and driving practical solutions
  • Experience working in agile or collaborative delivery
  • Superior writing skills and the ability to tailor your message to different audiences and translate between stakeholders and technical teams
  • Able to produce clear, structured documentation
