About the role
Our Financial Transformation & System EPM Cloud team is looking for an IT Business / Functional Analyst - Financial System.
Reporting to the Manager FT&S EPM Cloud, your main responsibilities will include:
What you'll do here:
- Support the Product Owners in the functional tasks, support, maintenance and monthly process documentation of the Cloud Financial Solutions.
- Support and maintain the Lease Accounting tool in place.
- Be responsible to perform and analyze the results of the systems compliance monthly controls.
- Participate in diverse projects which implicates financial systems.
Cloud Applications :
- Document and update monthly protocols surrounding the Oracle Cloud applications.
- Maintain access files up to date of EPM applications.
- Assist in maintaining Cloud Application (including below activities):
- Metadata updates and changes;
- Build forms and reports per user’s request;
- User support (daily, monthly);
- Review and analyse system updates and validate the impacts on applications.
- Participate in the system management issues proactively by performing accurate diagnosis of root cause.
- Collaborate in the business process challenges by offering creative solutions using the features available within the tool or applying auxiliary solutions around the tool.
- Collaborate with product owners on internal and external audit compliant processes and controls managed as an application administrator.
- Collaborate to the release management for assigned applications.
- Assist in monthly allocation processes- Oracle Fusion EPCM.
- Participate in managing security and access to the system lower environments in place.
- Participate as a key business partner during multiple internal integration projects as well as for the deployment of future Cloud applications. In both cases:
- Ensure that the requirements are understood and respected.
- Act as a change agent and assist partners in change management.
- Contribute to acceptance testing efforts (UAT) and facilitate the work of business users.
Results analysis of monthly controls:
- Extract and process financial system gross data.
- Monthly validate and reconcile gross data in between systems in regards of premiums and claims.
- Explain potential variances or obtain explanations or corrections from other IT partners.
- Prepare, analyze and design reconciliation reports.
- Update and document reconciliation system processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during quarterly and yearly audits.
- Prepare User Acceptance Testing (UAT) et provide results to the Manager.
- Following audits and requests, execute research and analysis, provide results and recommendation, if needed.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the domain.
- Work experience with Oracle product, is an asset.
- MS Excel advanced knowledge and complexed formulas, needed.
- Experience with 52-109/SOX controls is an asset.
- Experience working in a corporate finance team.
- Experience with large, national scale projects an asset.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
