Analyst, Finance Process Development
We are actively looking for an Analyst, Finance Process Development to join the Finance team to advance the organization’s reporting capabilities through design, development, deployment, and maintenance. This will include analyzing user requirements, processes, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review capabilities, workflow, and process limitations. This role will report into the Controller, Finance Process Development in Toronto. The team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Analyst, Process Development to join our progressive team. Their ideal candidate would have a degree in a Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Technology and is looking to gain practical experience in the Real Estate sector.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and analytical support to the Finance Process Development Team
- Requires strong knowledge with Excel, Power BI and other Office applications o Requires knowledge programming in DAX and SQL
- Quick to learn new computer applications, such as accounting software
- Assist in updating or developing tools to support portfolio and property accounting monthly activities and reporting, towards the goal of improving capabilities and efficiencies
- Review property attribute and property list data to ensure accurate monthly and quarterly reporting
- Assist in report validation and running reports
- Assist with creating training materials and conducting training sessions o Office duties such as database entry may be required
- May assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in a Business Administration or Computer Science or Information Technology
- Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, MS Office applications, DAX and SQL, experience with Yardi’s Voyager, Elevate, and other applications would be an asset
- Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands, competing priorities; willing to learn and adapt to changes in a dynamic environment; organized; detail-oriented and a self starter.
- Identify and analyze problems for reference to supervisor on non-routine issues. Resolve issues in a timely manner on daily responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, oral and written; able to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships; able to be flexible and work with all types of personalities; able to exercise confidentiality and places a priority on client service
