The Opportunity:

Manulife Wealth Insurance Services Inc. (MWISI) is currently seeking an Insurance Support Coordinator to join the Operations team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of the team's daily processes. 

The Operations team functions as the MGA "Back Office" for MWISI and third-party Independent Advisors. It acts as the central channel for advisors to submit their New Business and In-Force Insurance business to Manulife and 12 other insurance carriers. This position has a significant impact on advisor retention, sales, and the overall business growth facilitated through MWISI. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Sort and prioritize all incoming correspondence 

  • Triage all new applications received 

  • Handle insurance carrier feed rejects promptly 

  • Generate reports 

  • Create shells in WealthServ 

  • Communicate effectively to management and escalate issues where appropriate 

  • Identifying gaps and risks in documentation. Where necessary, create and update documentation. 

  • Providing timely and appropriate feedback to Leader 

  • Other administrative duties 

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years' experience in similar role 

  • Proficiency with Excel and Outlook 

  • Exceptional accuracy attention to detail 

  • Excellent research and problem resolution skills with the ability to multitask 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Good organization and prioritization skills to ensure deadlines are met 

  • High level of customer service 

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, time management, customer service, and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to meet deadlines 

  • Able to be flexible in adjusting priorities

Salary range is expected to be between

$39,225.00 CAD - $65,375.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
