We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to join our Education and Media Team at Caseware, a leading SaaS organization. As an Instructional Designer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective e-learning content that meets the educational needs of the organization and its users. 
 
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, product managers, developers, and marketing, as well as regional training teams to create high-quality learning materials and ensure content accuracy and alignment with business goals. You will report directly to the Head of Global Product Education.

What you will be doing:

  • Design and develop e-learning content that is engaging, interactive, and aligned with learning objectives. 
  • Collaborate with developers, and subject matter experts to create effective digital learning solutions. 
  • Apply UX/UI principles to enhance learner engagement and satisfaction through intuitive and visually appealing digital learning interfaces. 
  • Create course development plans to support the online academy, including storyboarding, scripting, and integrating multimedia elements. 
  • Regularly review and update existing learning content to ensure it remains current, accurate, and aligned with changes in organizational processes, products, or services. 
  • Manage the end-to-end development of e-learning projects, including timelines, resource coordination, and feedback management. 
  • Assisting in the setup, configuration, and management of content on Learning Management Systems (LMS), ensuring proper functionality and learner access. 
  • Provide technical support to users, helping troubleshoot issues related to the LMS and e-learning content . 
  • Be amenable to traveling to regional offices and client sites as needed. 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s (HBO) degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Digital Media, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in e-learning design, instructional design, or digital learning development. 
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Synthesia, Camtasia, and experience with LMS platforms. 
  • Knowledge of gamification, course structure, didactic design, and UX/UI principles and their application in digital learning environments. 
  • Understanding of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles. 
  • Experience in designing interactive learning modules and multimedia elements, including video, graphics, and animations. 
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage feedback loops. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in developing course content and documentation. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team. 
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, product managers, developers, and marketing. 
  • Academic background, certifications, or professional experience in accounting, auditing, or finance (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English.

The Tech Stack you will be working with:

  • E-learning authoring tools: Articulate Storyline 360, Synthesia, Adobe Captivate, H5P, and Camtasia. 
  • Learning Management Systems (LMS): Experience with various LMS platforms to manage and deliver e-learning content. 
  • Project management tools: Monday.com, Microsoft Planner, Confluence, and Miro. 
  • Microsoft applications: Utilized for day-to-day work and interactions. 

Salary range:

The salary range for this position would be between $100,000 and $110,000 CAD/year depending on experience level.Due to the nature of this position, this role is NOT eligible for discretionary bonus and/or commission, as well as other benefits.

Actual pay within the listed range will be determined based on factors such as transferable skills, relevant experience, market conditions, and primary work location. The posted range is subject to change and may be updated periodically.
