This role will be onsite 4 days a week, with some expected travel to the US.

Compensation:

This is a salary + commission role.

As part of our Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) you'll join a team of Inside Sales representatives to grow our Digital PCR (dPCR), qPCR/Real-time PCR, and Sanger Sequencing businesses within your territory. By coordinating and aligning with colleagues from multiple divisions, we enable our customers to resolve issues, provide them with the best tools to answer their questions, and help Thermo Fisher achieve its mission to make the world a cleaner, healthier, safer place!

A Day in the Life:

  • Consistently and accurately leads sales process, including sales forecasting, pipeline management and tracking. Coordinates resources and engages key customers to achieve annual sales targets.

  • Develops and maintains deep current knowledge of genetic analysis markets, products, and buying practices. Applies product and application knowledge across the division's portfolio to optimally apply consultative and strategic selling presentations.

  • Expands visibility of our dPCR, qPCR, Microarray, and Sanger Sequencing solutions to our customers: Capitalizes on local marketing innovations to expand programs within the designated territory.

  • Build and nurture customer relationships through extensive cold-calling and prospecting. Understands our customers' goals, priorities, and challenges so that Applied Biosystem's solutions are best positioned to address customer needs.

  • Collaborate effectively across a matrix environment and leverage Thermo Fisher’s breadth to serve customers and gain market share. Provides internal partners with business planning and development consulting to ensure effective strategies.

  • Consistent Tool & Resource Utilization: Uses the tools, processes, and operational resources to improve and advance direct and indirect sales. Collaboratively monitors and influences partner sales pipeline. Champions innovations that improve partner pipeline management.

Success Profile:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required in life sciences. Concentration in Biology, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry strongly preferred.

  • Advanced Degrees are preferred, but not required - We value diverse educational backgrounds!

  • Bilingualism is also a strong asset but not mandatory.

Experience:

  • 1+ yrs hands-on laboratory experience and/or customer-facing experience is an asset, as is a solid understanding of qPCR, Digital PCR, or Sanger sequencing technologies.

  • Ability to travel to the US as needed for required meetings and customer visits is a requirement. This may include a variable work schedule to accommodate customer availability.

Compensation

The estimated annualized pay range for this position in Ontario is $60,000.00–$65,000.00.
