Job Description:

Job Summary  

The HR Geo Services Specialist role is responsible for providing HR support to the geographies within their scope of responsibility. These roles deliver the HR services that require close physical proximity to business operations and cover one to multiple UPS locations. We seek an assertive, adaptable, and socially aware professional with the confidence to lead and the flexibility to work within warehouse environments. 

 

Job Type: Full Time/Permanent       
Workdays: Monday to Friday (must be able to work ALL 5 days of the week) Occasional weekends during peak seasons.  
Shift Hours: 9:00 to 5:30 (must be able to work a minimum of 40 hrs. per week)    
Shift Duration: 8.5 hours a day (requires flexibility with Start and Finish time)
Work Location: 2900 Steeles Ave West, Concord, ON L4K 3S2 Canada

Compensation: 23.26 per hour 

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Management of employee concerns and workplace investigations 

  • Inquiry management. 

  • Implementation of local services and programs to improve talent acquisition. 

  • Assist in recruitment activities - post jobs on Indeed, create Workday requisitions, flyer drops, agency visits, job fairs, recruitment contact sourcing. 

  • Promotion of referral program for all buildings and shifts under your scope. 

  • Support our external and internal customers. 
     

Qualifications: 

  • Recent graduate from Human Resources Management program or equivalent. 

  • Previous Human Resources experience required. 

  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality. 

  • Knowledge of local employment and regulatory laws – preferred. 

  

Skills: 

  • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities. 

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and market trends. 

  • Project Management: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies. 

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building abilities to work effectively with internal teams and external partners. 

  • Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with HR software like Workday and recruitment tools. 

  • Problem-Solving: Creative and resourceful in finding solutions to talent acquisition challenges. 

  • Cultural Awareness: Understanding diverse cultures and employment markets across Ontario. 
     

The successful candidate must have their own vehicle to ensure they are able to travel between different buildings as needed to support the business.
