What's the Role

We're looking for a HR Business Partner Advisor to join our our Signature Dining team. Supporting a multi-site food services business takes more than HR expertise—it takes strong relationships, sound judgment, and the ability to help leaders navigate people challenges in real time.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be connected to the day-to-day realities of operating sites. You'll work closely with leaders across post-secondary campuses, education environments, and corporate dining operations while helping build positive workplace cultures and strong employee experiences.

What You'll Do

As the HR Business Partner Advisor, you'll partner closely with operational leaders in our Signature Dining  division across Canada to provide practical HR support in both unionized and non-unionized environments.

From employee relations and labour relations to workforce planning, performance management, investigations, and people initiatives, you'll help leaders make informed decisions that support employees, strengthen operations, and drive business results.

  • Provide practical HR guidance and support to leaders and employees across Signature Dining operations.
  • Support employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, progressive discipline, workplace complaints, and investigations.
  • Coach supervisors and site leaders on performance appraisals, documentation, employee concerns, and the consistent application of HR practices.
  • Support labour relations activities, including collective agreement administration, union enquiries, grievance intake, labour-management meetings, and collective bargaining preparation.
  • Use data, trends, and insights to provide context and recommendations that support business decisions.
  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, employee engagement, talent development, change management, and operational people needs.
  • Prepare and deliver HR communications for diverse, multi-site employee groups.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, orientation, leaves, terminations, and other employee lifecycle activities.
  • Assist with workplace investigations, accommodation programs, and HR projects as required.
  • Travel to operating sites across Canada to provide on-site support when needed.

  • CHRP, CHRL, or CPHR designation completed or in progress is considered an asset.
  • Four to six years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations within food services, hospitality, education, healthcare, or contract catering is considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, labour relations, performance management, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent relationship-building, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable travelling to operating sites as required and holding a valid driver's licence.
