The Human Resources team offers consultancy and advice that is tailored to meet the business's immediate and long-term needs by applying a combination of innovative thinking and pragmatic methodology to deliver effective results.
Additionally, the team supports the business in attracting and retaining the right people needed to successfully implement their strategies, establish reliable partnerships, and work with leaders to understand present and anticipated human resource needs. About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented HRIS and Operations Specialist with core specialization in Workday to join our dynamic HR Team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our HR technology landscape, with a focus on Workday. You will be the Workday subject matter expert providing configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and day to day end user support. You will be responsible for maintaining data integrity, providing actionable insights through reporting, and providing operations and administrative support for the HR function. A successful candidate will possess experience with HRIS (Workday), strong analytical skills, an understanding of HR metrics/ reporting, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key Areas of Accountability:
System Administration:
- Business process configuration, implementation, ongoing maintenance and testing of HCM Workday modules.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Manage employee and contingent worker data within Workday and other HR systems.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR data, including data entry, audits, and reporting.
- Develop and generate reports and dashboards to support HR decision-making and drive process improvements. Build ad-hoc reports for a variety of stakeholders and audiences.
- Prepare, file, and maintain documents in SharePoint, ensuring they are organized, accessible and up to date.
Process and System Enhancements:
- Continuously analyze HR processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Collaborate with HR stakeholders to identify system enhancement opportunities, review new system releases, analyze impacts, conduct testing, propose, and implement solutions as well as maintain system documentation.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
Training and Support:
- Provide end-user training and support to HR colleagues and end-users on Workday on HCM functionality.
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the HR team. Responsibilities include support recruitment and onboarding activities, creation of organization charts, employment verification letters, monitor and triage HR inbox.
Your Qualifications:
- University bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources Management
- 3+ years of HRIS experience, with a strong focus on HCM Workday configuration and administration.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Experience in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Visio, Power BI) is an asset).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Has the ability to translate data into actionable insights and system requirements.
- A self-starter with excellent organizational skills. Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with a focus on optimizing business processes and improving efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Acts responsibly and ethically while working with sensitive and confidential personal information.
- Workday certifications are considered an asset.
