Job Description:

As a member of the OE Advice and Governance team, you will work with a dedicated team of Senior Advisors to solve our business leaders' organization design and effectiveness challenges.  You will play a pivotal role in supporting organization design projects across our entire enterprise and/or specific business units, including: developing project plans, analyzing organization effectiveness issues, assembling research and insights, developing actionable recommendations and preparing presentations and documents. You will also create and evaluate job models in support of TD's Job Architecture.   

As a OE Specialist, you are well positioned as a professional who has strong business acumen, analysis, communications and stakeholder management skills. 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, OE Governance, your primary accountabilities include:

  • Providing day to day consulting support to Senior Advisors to lead assigned projects (depending on complexity) under minimal management guidance

  • Develop and maintain skills maps across assigned portfolio, providing challenge on what is considered optional vs. required skills on job postings, and making judgement decisions based on frameworks and business needs

  • Provide both advice and challenge to business partners on skills requirements in addition to job architecture alignment; assessing and differentiating required vs. optional, and applying sound judgment within established frameworks

  • Evolve and enhance Governance frameworks, methodologies, and supporting processes

  • Champion a “One HR” mindset by enabling integration of skills and job architecture data across HR COEs (e.g., Talent, L&D)

  • Lead cyclical portfolio reviews to ensure enterprise alignment and consistency across the Bank, monitor emerging trends and technologies; integrate insights into job architecture design

  • Establish and enforce governance to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance of both skills and job architecture decisions

  • Lead alignment efforts across stakeholders and managing logistics to execute specialized OE consulting projects and programs

  • Performing analysis for OE initiatives related to job models, organization design, spans and layers, and related activities

  • Conducting collection of meaningful data and/or research, performing due diligence and incorporating into the development of organization design recommendations

  • Preparing organizational analytics to identify structural and organizational systemic issues and opportunities

Job Requirements:

You're a confident professional with research and qualitative data analysis skills, and an articulate communicator (written and oral) who can serve as a 'point person' for OE consulting projects, and possesses the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in organization design, organization effectiveness, or human capital strategies and projects. Consulting experience preferred.  
  • Experience in job evaluation is an asset.
  • A strong ability to understand how organizations function and how organization effectiveness is enabled. Ability to anticipate the longer-term impact of decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous, complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables, including consultation with multiple stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in qualitative data analysis, using results to draw conclusions and make recommendations. 
  • Ability to organize and present complex information/concepts in a persuasive manner, tailored to the audience.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
  • Strong results-oriented project management skills; well organized, with a high attention to detail.
  • High-level expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is essential.
  • Undergraduate degree in HR, or Organizational Development. Post graduate degree is an asset.
