Job Description

  • Provide HR coaching, guidance, and advice aligned with best practices, legislation, and company values
  • Lead investigations and fact-finding on employee and labor relations issues
  • Support managers and employees with performance management, development plans, and goal setting
  • Act as a change agent to support critical business initiatives and lead effective change management efforts
  • Manage the employee lifecycle, including orientation for new hires, exit interviews, and off-boarding 
  • Maintain accurate employee data in systems and coordinate with Payroll and IT on employee changes, new hires, and terminations
  • Support the rollout of HR programs and initiatives that promote an inclusive and diverse culture
  • Contribute to continuous improvements and best practices to influence HR strategies

Qualifications

  • 4+ years progressive experience in a Human Resources role in the healthcare industry 
  • Progressive experience in employee relations  
  • Experience working in a unionized environment required 
  • Post-secondary degree, diploma or certification in Human Resources Management
  • CHRP in progress or completed an asset 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Previous experience with a HRIS & ATS
  • Salary: $60,000 - $75,000. Compensation is based on experience
