We are searching for an HR Generalist to join our People Operations team and continue to elevate the Ada Owner experience. As an HR Generalist, you will own the full employee journey including orientation, programs, systems and offboarding. As an integral member of the team, you will use your strong communication and relationship-building expertise to ensure every Ada Owner feels supported & has an extraordinary experience at the company. 

This is a Toronto, Ontario based position. While the position is fully remote there will be occasions where you'll need to visit our Toronto Collaboration Hub. 

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR, with a strong understanding of HR principles and best practices. Experience working within employment regulations in Canada and the US. Previous experience managing HR programs & systems is an asset. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail – you strive to get it right and deliver the best outcome for stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proven experience managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Familiarity with HR software such as BambooHR and Greenhouse. 
  • High proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite, specifically with Excel and Google Sheets. 
  • A relentless drive to get things done, and get it done well.

Outcomes

  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Leads orientation for all new Ada Owners and continues to improve the program to support our global workforce. Conducts exit interviews for departing Ada Owners and analyzes data for key trends. 
  • HR Administration: Creates contracts and letters for all employee changes, ensuring high accuracy and compliance with local employment laws and company policies.
  • HR Systems: Manages the HRIS with complete & accurate information and supports with managing the ATS where needed.  
  • Total Rewards: Owns administration of benefits and supports the performance and compensation review cycles. 
  • HR Programs: Maintains and leads the development of new programs that promote engagement and support career development. Works closely with the Office Manager on community events where needed. 
  • Employee Relations: Acts as a primary point of contact for Ada Owner inquiries and provides timely & accurate information. 
  • Other: Proactively introduces process improvements, generates reporting for stakeholders, and supports new projects as needed.

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 CAD. Actual pay will be determined based on several factors such as past experience and qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
