Group Summary:
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

HOURLY : 

$20.16 - $24.72

VACANCY STATUS:

Immediate, Open Position

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Assist the Human Resources Team with Administrative support as required
•  Assist Human Resources Team with projects
•  Assist with the administration of Employee Recognition Program
•  Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, maintaining an approachable and helpful demeanor
•  Assist with onboarding activities, including new hire documentation and orientation sessions
•  Provide administrative support for training programs, ensuring accurate scheduling and record-keeping
•  Prepare memos and postings, and ensure all communication channels are regularly updated, including communication boards, the MyLife app, and MagnaNow TVs
•  Answer and direct all incoming calls in a timely fashion, always displaying courtesy and professionalism as the first point of contact for Plastcoat
•  Greet, welcome and direct Visitors & Contractors, ensuring they are signed in by following Plastcoat’s Visitors’ Program.  Ensure Visitors and Contractors are provided with a visitor’s badge, PPE and Contractor Orientation as required
•  Provide support when needed in organizing meetings, including boardroom bookings, ordering lunch, etc.
•  Assist with coordinating Plastcoat tours
•  Coordinate all incoming and outgoing mail, as well as inter-company and external office couriers
•  Perform administrative duties for HR Department and as assigned by various departments
•  Arrange maintenance of office equipment & supplies
•  Responsible for making travel arrangements and organizing car rentals as required
•  Perform data entry activities as required
•  Maintain strict confidentiality of all information obtained, written or verbal, with in the HR Department
•  Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplace 
•  Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior 
•  Adhere to applicable quality systems and IATF-16949 standards 
•  Adhere to and promote the Employee Charter and work within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Plastcoat Employee Handbook
•  Comply with the requirements of CTPAT/PIP
•  Conduct business in an ethical manner in compliance with the Magna Code of Conduct
•  Participate in and support Continuous Improvement initiatives 
•  Maintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standards 
•  Ensure work area is kept neat and organized 
•  Perform other duties as required 
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
•  Minimum completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources 
EXPERIENCE:
•  Experience in automotive industry an asset
SKILLS:
•  Strong verbal and written communication skills 
•  Computer literate in word & spreadsheet programs
•  Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems
•  Strong interpersonal skills
•  Well-developed organizational and time management skills
