The Opportunity:

We’re looking to fill an opening for a High Value Relationship Manager to join our Direct Investing team.

Reporting to the VP, Strategic Partnerships and Priority Clients, the High Value Relationship Manager is responsible for providing expert support to new and existing High Net Worth/Ultra High Net Worth (HNW/UHNW) clients with highly complex needs.

This is a critical role which requires a client-focused mindset and ability to identify and develop client relationships. You will be supported by a team committed to Qtrade’s growth and advancement with access to resources and support needed to deliver for your clients through partnerships and alignment with Aviso partners, Credit Union and National partners.

What your day looks like:

  • Be accountable for the retention and asset growth of an assigned portfolio of Qtrade Direct Investing priority clients located in and around your market
  • Deliver an exceptional partner experience (for Credit Union and National Partner clients / members) that demonstrates your service excellence to their members / clients with a “white glove” level of care
  • Know your clients and build relationships that enable you to identify what is important to them; introduce them to Aviso and affiliated Partners to add additional value
  • Collaborate with local market partners, including Credit Unions, to identify and support their new priority client opportunities that require a specialized and in-person on-boarding experience
  • Deliver / Coordinate client seminars and client knowledge sessions to drive engagement and awareness of the Qtrade Direct Investing total value proposition
  • Deepen client relationships by offering value added insights, ensuring clients understand how to get the most out of Qtrade’s award winning online experience
  • Be accountable to understand the growth opportunity in your market/s and cultivate Centre of Influence (COI) networks to win new business

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practice Handbook (CPH) as this role will require Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) registration
  • Derivatives Fundamentals Course and Options License (OLC) is an asset
  • Certified Financial Planning (CFP) and related experience is an asset
  • 5+ years of experience in brokerage, direct investing, wealth management, or a related investment industry environment, including 2-3+ years supporting or managing High Net Worth, priority, or complex client relationships.
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Proven ability to achieve results and KPIs
  • Proactive, analytical and time management skills, along with attention to detail
  • Applied knowledge of Wealth Management practices, risk management and operational procedures is preferred
  • Additional job skills include Business Development, Coaching, Customer Acquisition Strategy, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Strategies, Customer Value Management, Long Term Planning, Communications, Negotiation, Perseverance and Follow-Through, Sales Channels, and Sales Forecasting
  • Fluency (written and spoken) in both English and French OR English and Mandarin is required to effectively communicate with partners, clients and colleagues across Canada

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $110,000 - $130,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
