SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Perform microscopic deburring under high magnification.
  • Deburr/Finish aerospace components to rigorous design specifications.
  • Demonstrate excellent manual dexterity and skill in hand-finishing techniques.
  • Perform detailed inspections of finished parts to ensure quality standards.
  • Use precision tools and techniques to achieve high-quality finishes.

  • Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Adhere to fabrication systems and procedures, ensuring safety for yourself and others.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate hand tools and equipment for finishing tasks, including sanders, grinders, and polishers.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize finishing processes.
  • Maintain work areas and tools in a clean and safe condition.
  • Assist in training and mentoring lower-level finishers.
  • Follow all safety and environmental regulations and practices.
Qualifications

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP / CSP / Secret security clearance.


YOU MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a finishing role within a high technology environment, preferably in aerospace.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in hand finishing techniques.

WE VALUE

  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and AS9100 requirements is an advantage.


WORKING CONDITIONS: 

This position requires prolonged standing and sitting, frequent microscope use, and regular use of hand tools and finishing equipment in a manufacturing environment. Must be flexible to work different shifts as required.


The annual base salary range for this position is $52,300-63,000 in Cambridge, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
