About the Role

Sago Mini is seeking a Growth Marketing Specialist to drive subscriber growth across our web and mobile ecosystems. As a key member of the Growth team, you will own a full-funnel paid acquisition strategy and execution, scaling performance across Meta, Google, TikTok, and leading mobile ad networks.

This role sits at the intersection of data, creative, and product. You will steward user acquisition budgets, optimize performance against LTV and CPA targets, and translate complex growth insights into actionable recommendations for studio and product stakeholders.

This is a full-time contract position for one year. You will be required to work from Sago Mini’s downtown, Toronto office one day per week.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $70,000 to $100,000 per annum. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.

This job posting is tied to an open vacancy.

You’ll thrive in this role if you…

● Think in full funnels, not just channels. You understand how web and app ecosystems connect and how to optimize across both.

● Are equal parts analytical and creative. You can dissect cohort data in the morning and brief high-performing creative in the afternoon.

● Are comfortable owning significant budgets and making decisions grounded in LTV, CPA, and long-term profitability.

● Enjoy translating performance data into clear, compelling narratives for cross-functional teams.

● Have a strong “test and learn” mindset and aren’t afraid to challenge conventional best practices when the kids’ category requires new approaches.

● Are energized by mission-driven work and excited to grow products that support early learning, creativity, and play.

What You’ll Be Doing

● Full-Funnel Campaign Management: Own the strategy, execution, and daily optimization of D2C paid media campaigns across networks like Meta, Google, and TikTok.

● Cross-Platform Growth: Drive subscriber growth through a dual-funnel approach: scaling direct-to-consumer web channels, while supporting our mobile app store acquisition funnel (Apple App Store/Google Play)

● Budget & Lifecycle Orchestration: Collaborate with studio and finance leadership to deploy the UA budget. You will prioritize key markets based on a balance of immediate scale and long-term profitability (LTV/CPA).

● Creative Prioritization & Briefing: Act as the strategic link between performance and production, providing data-driven briefs, testing frameworks, and channel-specific best practices to improve conversion.

● Privacy-First Attribution: Work with the Growth Team Lead to manage and evolve a compliant attribution framework (MMP/Web Analytics). You must be comfortable navigating the complexities of COPPA/GDPR-K requirements.

● Platform Partnership: Maintain direct relationships with channel partners to ensure our tactics remain at the cutting edge of performance marketing.

● Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the "voice of growth" for the product team and studio stakeholders, translating complex performance data into clear narratives and actionable product insights.

Qualifications and Skills

● 4–6 years of hands-on experience in growth marketing or performance UA, specifically within the mobile app and/or subscription space.

● Expert Media Buyer: Deep expertise with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads (UAC and Search), and TikTok. Experience with ad networks like (Unity/Ironsource) is also a plus.

● Web + App Fluency: Experience managing web-to-app conversion funnels and an understanding of the tracking nuances between Stripe/Web and Apple/Google IAP.

● Data Literacy: Ability to analyze cohort data, retention curves, and LTV projections. You don’t just report numbers; you tell the story of why they are moving.

● Mission-Driven Mindset: Experience in (or a deep passion for) ed-tech, kids' literature & media, and early learning.

● Adaptability: A "test and learn" mentality. You are comfortable moving away from "best practices" when constraints of the kids' category require creative problem-solving.

Nice to Haves

● Previous experience in the kids’ space.

● Previous experience in mobile and/or app marketing.
