At Heartland, we're looking for a curious and motivated graduate or early-career professional to join our Information Security team in our Digital Transformation business unit. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of technology, cyber security, risk management and banking while working alongside experienced professionals in a modern digital environment.

As a Technology Risk Analyst, you'll help identify, assess and manage technology and cyber security risks that support the safe delivery of critical banking services across Heartland.

What we're looking for

You’ll likely be a recent graduate or early-career professional who enjoys analysing information, solving problems and learning how technology supports business outcomes. With super strong communication skills, your attention to detail is second to none.

You'll have a degree in:

  • Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (Cybersecurity Engineering) or
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Major in Information Systems) or
  • Bachelor of Business in Information Systems or
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Software Engineering / Computer Science

It would be awesome if you had:

  • Master of Cyber Security (MCS)
  • Master of Information Technology (Cyber Security Specialisation)
  • Postgraduate qualification in:
    • Cyber Security
    • Information Security
    • Technology Governance
    • Risk Management

We’d love to see:

  • One to three years of professional experience through employment, internships, placements, or graduate programmes.
  • Exposure to banking, financial services, cyber security, audit, risk, compliance environments.
  • Understanding of technology governance and risk management principles.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, or governance documentation.
