Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payroll execution.
- Implement and maintain payroll policies, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and global regulations.
- Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers and ensure service-level agreements are met.
- Ensure proper handling of employee compensation, including salaries, benefits, bonuses, stock options, and other remuneration.
- Stay updated on global payroll tax laws, labor laws, and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence in all regions.
- Partner with legal, finance, and HR teams to ensure payroll compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements.
- Manage internal and external audits related to payroll and ensure all payroll processes meet corporate governance standards.
- Develop and implement global payroll strategies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify automation opportunities and lead payroll technology enhancements, including system upgrades and integrations with HRIS and financial systems.
- Standardize payroll processes across different geographies while accommodating local labor laws and tax regulations.
- Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including HR, finance, IT, and external vendors.
- Ensure accurate payroll reconciliation, reporting, and compliance with financial and tax regulations.
- Analyze payroll data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Key Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of global payroll practices, processes, and compliance.
- Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, Rippling)
- Understanding of international payroll and employment tax laws, labor laws, and social benefits/securities systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills to work with international teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, HR, or a related field.
- Certifications like Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Global Payroll Management Certificate can be beneficial.
