Job Title: Global Partner Enablement Manager

Location: Toronto, Canada with international travel requirements of 25-50% 

Reports To: Global Director, Digital Platform and Services

Job Summary:

The Global Partner Enablement Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive technical and commercial training program for Armstrong’s Ecosystem of Service Partners, Controls Contractors, and OEM Service Branches. This role is critical in equipping partners with the skills and knowledge required to effectively sell, service, and manage Armstrong’s solutions and drive adoption of the Envelope platform for connected site management, recurring services, and performance contracts.

The successful candidate will create and deliver scalable training programs, enable best practices in service execution, and ensure that Armstrong’s partners are empowered to deliver high-value solutions to customers.

Since the individual taking over this role is in transition, they would be expected to help the individual taking over the Global Service Manager role on technical, operational, and people-related issues to ensure a smooth transition and continued alignment across service and training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner Training & Enablement:

  • Develop and execute structured training programs covering technical, commercial, and operational aspects of Armstrong’s solutions.
  • Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions to Service Partners, Controls Contractors, and OEM Service Branches.
  • Create engaging e-learning content, interactive workshops, and certifications for partners to validate their expertise.
  • Establish a knowledge-sharing framework that ensures partners stay up-to-date with the latest Envelope platform enhancements and Armstrong solutions.
  • Implement systems that manage, maintain, and update training levels and certificates for each trained partner resource.
  • Integrate training level management systems with the Envelope Platform to ensure that only certified technicians are dispatched for the right job.
  • Work with Marketing Communications to develop videos and animations that simplify the explanation of Armstrong technologies.

Ecosystem Development & Performance Enablement:

  • Enable partners to effectively sell and execute services and solutions that drive customer success.
  • Train partners to actively manage connected sites, analyze performance data, and deliver recurring services via the Envelope platform.
  • Ensure partners can develop and execute performance contracts that align with customer efficiency and sustainability goals.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to partners, ensuring they are proficient in deploying and optimizing Armstrong’s solutions.
  • Establish proper onboarding and offboarding procedures for partners and their trained employees, ensuring that training credentials align with access levels on the Envelope platform.

Building a Scalable Training Infrastructure:

  • Work with partners to rent training facilities where in-person training can be conducted.
  • Develop a partner certification program, enabling selected partners to deliver Armstrong training on behalf of the company.
  • Build and champion a business case for Armstrong’s own dedicated training facility, demonstrating the long-term value of a centralized learning hub.

Technical & Commercial Strategy Alignment:

  • Collaborate with Sales, Service, Product Management, and Marketing teams to align training content with business objectives.
  • Develop partner enablement strategies that support revenue growth and service excellence.
  • Work closely with R&D and Product teams to incorporate the latest technological advancements into partner training programs.

 Continuous Improvement & Performance Measurement:

  • Develop KPIs and performance metrics to track partner success, service execution quality, and training effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular assessments, feedback loops, and refresher courses to ensure partners maintain high competency levels.
  • Identify gaps in partner performance and implement targeted coaching or additional training as needed.
  • Benchmark best practices from top-performing partners and standardize them across the ecosystem.

Global Engagement & Collaboration:

  • Manage a global training calendar and coordinate regional training programs with local teams.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Armstrong and partners, fostering strong relationships to drive engagement and commitment.
  • Support regional partner managers in onboarding new partners and accelerating their time-to-competency.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or technical certifications preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in partner enablement, technical training, or service management, preferably in HVAC, controls, or industrial automation.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, hydronics, pumps, controls, and digital service platforms.
  • Experience in delivering technical and commercial training programs (both in-person and virtual).
  • Familiarity with performance-based service models, IoT-connected services, and SaaS platforms is a plus.
  • Strong ability to translate technical concepts into actionable commercial value for partners.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel (25-50%) to conduct global training sessions and partner engagements.
