Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Non-Ferrous Receiver with experience for our Hamilton location. Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the general maintenance of the premises and receiving materials from our customers:

What you're responsible for:

  • Sorting and segregating different types of ferrous and non ferrous materials
  • Operating machinery and equipment used in the recycling process
  • Inspecting, loading, and unloading of customer vehicles and trucks
  • Performing depollution of vehicles including removing oils, gas, coolant, etc
  • Conducting basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas
  • Following safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment

Qualifications

To join our team:

  • You are comfortable working in a loud, dusty, heavy industrial environment
  • You are comfortable performing repetitive lifting up to 50lbs
  • You have the ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • You have a willingness to learn and perform various tasks
  • You have clear communication skills and are comfortable working with members of the public
  • You have previous experience in a industrial, warehouse, or recycling environment
