Job Description:
About the RoleThe General Labor role at the Brantford location provides support to the production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You will add value to the role by performing various functions, including but not limited to:- Monitoring product quality, removing defects, ensuring correct stacking, clearing jams safely, and verifying proper placement and count of items on the line.
- Hand-packing products, assembling boxes, loading and placing items, packing cartons into cases, palletizing correctly, and transporting to designated areas.
- Verifying date codes, completing QA documents accurately, and ensuring compliance with production standards.
- Assisting operators, retrieving materials, handling rework, cleaning the work area, disposing of waste, and performing other assigned tasks.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, hot environment with excellent hand-eye coordination and strong attention to detail.
- Follow instructions accurately, communicate effectively, and demonstrate teamwork.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently, with a strong work ethic and basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
