Hourly Rate: $21.41 - $24.65
Vacancy Status: Immediate Open Position
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Machine set-up/ break down
Place next job in staging area for each machine
Assist Machinists through cleaning of work areas/ milling machines/ equipment/ dies, etc.
Fill up oil and maintain coolant levels in machines on daily basis
Responsible to keep machine shop in a state of cleanliness
Empty waste oil bins on daily basis
5S sustaining duties
LMS bay cranes pre-start checks
Assist with data management and administrative tasks, as required.
Complete tasks and assignments as assigned, including material handling with crane and forklift
Communicate necessary information to Leadhands and co-workers from shift to shift
Responsible to carry out duties for Health, Safety, and Environment in accordance with the HS&E Agreement for Employees - Addendum
Responsible for applicable QEMS policies, procedures & work instructions
Perform other reasonable duties as required
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Weekend day shift (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) and overtime required.
SPECIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 education required.
Previous shop experience an asset
Crane/Forklift experience an asset.
Good communication skills, attendance and performance required.
Orientation, WHMIS, Crane Training, Forklift Training, Fire Extinguisher Training, 5S, CI Suggestion Program, Waste Disposal Procedures, ISO 9001& ISO14001 training as prescribed by QEMS (see matrixes).
