You Are
A Quality Engineer with strong functional testing experience and a proven ability to validate complex enterprise applications across web, API, and system integration layers. You are passionate about delivering high-quality software and excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Business Systems Analysts (BSAs), Product Testers, Developers, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) stakeholders.
You bring expertise in test planning, test execution, defect management, and end-to-end validation of business processes. You are comfortable working in Agile delivery environments and have experience validating applications that span multiple systems, interfaces, and business domains.
You leverage GenAI tools in your day-to-day testing activities to improve efficiency, including generating test scenarios, creating test data, accelerating documentation, and enhancing test coverage. Exposure to open-source test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or WebdriverIO is considered a strong asset.
The Work
As a Functional Tester you will be part of a cross-functional Agile delivery team responsible for ensuring the quality of enterprise applications through comprehensive functional testing. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to validate requirements, execute test strategies, identify defects, and ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
You will contribute throughout the software delivery lifecycle, supporting test planning, execution, defect management, and release validation while helping teams adopt modern testing practices and AI-assisted quality engineering techniques.
Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and process flows to develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
Perform functional, integration, system, interface, and end-to-end testing for web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.
Validate business workflows across multiple applications and integrated platforms to ensure requirements are met.
Execute manual testing activities including smoke, regression, system, exploratory, and user acceptance support testing.
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Systems Analysts (BSAs), Product Testers, Developers, and UAT teams to clarify requirements, identify risks, and validate expected outcomes.
Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, requirement reviews, and defect triage activities.
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, execution reports, and defect documentation.
Utilize GenAI tools to accelerate test scenario generation, test data creation, test documentation, requirement analysis, and productivity improvements.
Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution and retesting cycles.
Support API and interface testing using appropriate tools and techniques to validate service integrations and data exchanges.
Assist with automation initiatives by contributing test cases and supporting automation efforts using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or WebdriverIO.
Participate in release validation, production verification testing, and post-deployment quality assessments.
Ensure adherence to organizational quality standards, testing methodologies, and compliance requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance testing effectiveness, efficiency, and overall product quality.
This role requires to be in the local office 3 days per week. Preferred location: Mississauga, Canada.
Here's What You Need: (skills)
4-5 years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or software development roles.
3+ years of hands-on experience developing automation frameworks and automated test solutions using TypeScript.
Strong experience with one or more open-source test automation frameworks including Playwright, Selenium, or WebdriverIO.
Experience developing and maintaining automated UI, API, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
Experience contributing to frontend and/or backend application development using modern development frameworks and technologies.
Practical experience using GenAI tools in day-to-day engineering activities, including code generation, test generation, debugging, workflow automation, and productivity enhancement.
Familiarity with AI concepts including agentic workflows, Model Context Protocol (MCP), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tool integrations, and LLM-powered solutions.
Experience testing and validating cloud-native, distributed, or microservices-based applications.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing lifecycle (STLC), Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms.
Experience with source control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows.
Knowledge of API testing, test data management, mocking, service virtualization, and automation best practices.
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Reliability Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing Playwright automation frameworks in enterprise environments.
Experience leveraging GenAI capabilities to improve software quality engineering processes.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience working in regulated environments requiring security and compliance standards.
Familiarity with performance testing, accessibility testing, and test observability solutions.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise digital transformation programs.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location,
role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time
