As a FPGA Development Tools Engineer you will:

  • Develop and optimize software tools for power and thermal analysis of Altera's next-generation FPGAs.

  • Implement new features to enhance user experience and improve runtime and memory efficiency.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FPGA silicon designers, architects, and various Altera experts to model advanced silicon effects and integrate them into our tools.

  • Analyze and address customer feedback, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to a performance-optimized codebase.

  • A passion for delivering high-quality, efficient code and enhancing user experience.

Our compensation is designed to reflect the Canadian labour market. The actual salary offered may vary based on several factors, including the position’s location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, training, and job-specific knowledge. In addition to base salary, we offer performance-based incentive opportunities that reward both individual contributions and overall company success. 

 

Estimated Salary Range: $110K – $115K CAD 

 

We use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants for the position. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Canadian work experience is not required for this role. Applicants must be eligible for any required Canada export authorizations. 

Qualifications:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ months of experience in:

  • C/C++ 

  • Scripting language (Python, Perl, or TCL).

  • Understanding of algorithm runtime and memory optimization.
