Forward Deployed AI/ML Engineer
Mission: Drive client success through technical implementation and optimization of Groq's AI acceleration solutions, focusing on LLMs and generative AI workloads.
Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:
- Architect and implement AI/ML solutions using Groq's LPU technology
- Partner with clients to optimize their ML models and workflows for Groq's platform
- Debug complex technical issues across ML frameworks, models, and hardware
- Develop proof-of-concepts and technical demonstrations
- Create technical documentation and implementation guides
Ideal candidates have/are:
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years experience deploying ML systems in production
- Strong Python programming and ML framework expertise (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Experience optimizing large language models and ML inference
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with hardware acceleration (GPUs, ASICs, FPGAs)
- Background in ML model architecture and optimization
- Knowledge of MLOps and ML infrastructure
- Client-facing technical experience
- Open-source contributions to ML projects

Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is $143,600 to $289,100, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks.
Location: Groq is a geo-agnostic company, meaning you work where you are. Exceptional candidates will thrive in asynchronous partnerships and remote collaboration methods. Some roles may require being located near our primary sites, as indicated in the job description.
