  • Guide system and product design to ensure accounting best practices and controls are built into the foundation
  • Translate complex accounting requirements into scalable, structured system inputs across the subledger lifecycle
  • Partner closely with engineers and product teams to shape flows for accruals, adjustments, reconciliation, and rebooking
  • Contribute to the development lifecycle by informing, prototyping, and validating solutions for our core accounting platform
  • Analyze existing accounting flows to separate core requirements from legacy technical constraints
  • Help define and standardize accounting logic across systems like MoneyBooker, IOU Batcher, and NetSuite integrations
  • Break down ambiguous financial and technical challenges into simple, practical solutions

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of experience in operational or technical accounting within a medium to large organization
  • You have a strong understanding of accrual-based accounting, subledger processes, and accounting best practices
  • You are experienced in partnering with technical teams and can clearly communicate accounting concepts in a systems context
  • You are comfortable working in data-driven or system-heavy environments and are curious about how systems operate
  • You bring a structured, analytical approach to problem solving and are comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • You have experience working with ERP systems, with NetSuite as a plus
  • You are interested in developing your technical skillset and working more closely with engineering
  • You enjoy working at the intersection of finance, systems, and product in evolving environments

Where You'll Be

  • This role is based in Toronto.
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in-person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
