Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be critical in providing financial insights and supporting decision-making processes through detailed analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing budgets and financial forecasts; monitor actual performance against budget.
- Data Analysis: Analyse financial data and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations to management.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budget/forecast, identifying key drivers and potential risks/opportunities.
- Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and business development initiatives.
- Cost Analysis: Perform cost analysis to evaluate business initiatives and projects, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards; assist in internal and external audits.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to gather financial information and support their needs.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. CPA, CFA, or equivalent designation is an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling; experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) is preferred.
