We are hiring a Financial Analyst to support our team in Toronto. In this role you will play a pivotal role in supporting new projects, budgeting processes, and merger and acquisition activities. As a member of our finance team, you will provide financial technical support for various reporting to the management team, variance analysis, account reconciliation, with an aim to drive improved efficiency and support our business partners.

Job Description

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business cases, growth initiatives, and project feasibility assessments
  • Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, including monitoring adherence and providing regular updates
  • Analyze financial data, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights to support decision-making across departments
  • Prepare account analyses and reconciliations for month-end closing activities
  • Extract, organize, and report financial data for standard and ad-hoc requests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Support the Finance team in researching and documenting technical accounting matters as needed

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Actively working towards a professional accounting designation (Chartered Professional Accountant)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of directly related work experience in accounting, financial analysis or audit role
  • Strong ability to use MS Office applications, advanced Excel skills, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, etc.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large quantities of financial and statistical data
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is an asset
