Job Description:

We’re looking for a Financial Analyst to support driving data accuracy, financial planning, forecasting & business decision-making across the organization. This role leverages analytics to uncover insights, present recommendations & partner with teams across the business to support strategic initiatives. You'll gain exposure to budgeting, process improvement projects & audit support, while developing your expertise in retail accounting & inventory controls. What You’ll Do:

  • Plan, forecast, analyze, and report on Inventory adjustments; provide solutions to mitigate business risks

  • Prepare & publish various financial, budgets & ad-hoc reports relating to Inventory adjustments.

  • Maintain the accuracy of TJX Canada’s Inventory stock ledger.

  • Ensure timely submissions of all journal entries, identify and investigate system errors and exception reports; prepare the Stock Ledger and other General Ledger (GL) reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy.

  • Coordinate the year-end process including support with physical inventory counts at Distribution Centres (DC's) and collaborate with Auditors to ensure timely a year-end audit. 

  • Participate in department process improvements initiatives (benchmarking, developing new training materials).

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide in-depth ad-hoc analysis and related financial/technical recommendations to business partners.

About You:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Commerce/Economics).

  • Working towards a business-related designation (e.g. CPA) is an asset.

  • A minimum of two (2) years of financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and modeling experience; experience supporting Retail, Distribution Services, Logistics and/or Supply Chain Operations is an asset.

  • Proven experience with inventory accounting, data analytics and database design concepts to support financial and business initiatives.

  • Experience with retail accounting is an asset

  • Analytical & problem-solving skills including the analysis of complex information, research skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to adapt communication styles to suit a wide variety of audiences.

  • Strong independent work ethic: able to drive results, accurately estimate time required to complete projects, initiative follow-up, and keep appropriate stakeholders or peers aware of progress.

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills including Word, Excel (able to efficiently and accurately manage, sort, and analyze large data sets), PowerPoint.

  • Experience utilizing ERP software (i.e. Oracle), databases (i.e. TM1); experience using SQL, Alteryx, running and creating Macros/VBA code and/or data visualization tools (Power Bi, Fabric, Tableau) is an asset.

Salary Range: $ 61,582.50-$86,215.50 /year *This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
