Synopsis of the role:

We’re looking for a FP&A Finance Analyst, a skilled professional who excels at providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning within Equifax Canada. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual to make a meaningful impact while maintaining a hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office). The role reports to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis. 

As a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Finance Analyst with Equifax, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations, providing guidance across multiple sectors & lines of business. You’ll be an integral part of financial processes such as reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, KPIs, and financial governance. Partnering with senior management, you’ll offer strategic insights that drive financial clarity and operational efficiency, helping Equifax maintain financial stability and achieve growth.

This role is ideal for a highly detail-oriented professional who thrives in a multi-stakeholder environment, balancing both hands-on financial management with big-picture strategy. You’ll have the opportunity to implement best practices, optimize financial processes, and play an important role in the long-term success of the business.

What You’ll do

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analyses,  develop and maintain financial models offering insights to guide key business decisions.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and support the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple lines of business (LOBs).

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare and support the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes for Equifax Canada, ensuring alignment with their specific business objectives.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and scalability.

  • Stakeholder management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, acting as their trusted financial advisor.

  • Subject matter expertise: Act as a SME for our online & offline revenue analysis, develop intelligent dashboards & offer key insights into the business to tie opportunity tracking with a solid revenue forecast. 

What Experience You Need

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in FP&A and /or advisory role

  • Skills: Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and data analysis techniques

  • Proficiency in financial reporting, financial management, forecasting, budgeting and reporting; advanced Excel skills with experience in modeling software (e.g., Oracle Hyperion / Essbase) and Tableau

  • Attributes: Strong attention to detail, highly organized and ability to manage multiple deadlines. A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills. Curious and looking to learn, improve and adapt. 

What could set you apart

  • Professional Designation (CA, CGA, CMA or MBA).

  • Experience in Salesforce/ Tableau/ BI and AI tools 

  • Forecasting using statistical or economic models
