Job Description

The Financial Analyst & Cost Accountant drives financial performance monitoring and manufacturing cost optimization across our 22 production plants. Operating in the North American Residential and Commercial Roofing sector, this role combines hands-on cost accounting with corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to standardize tracking, identify production variances, and support strategic multi-plant decisions. The successful candidate will leverage JDE ERP environments to manage intercompany transfer pricing review and streamline financial workflows across all facilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Standard Costing: Maintain and update product standard costs across all 22 manufacturing facilities.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee standard inventory valuation, obsolescence reserves, and annual physical inventory counts.
  • BOM Verification: Audit Bills of Materials (BOM) and routing configurations to ensure accurate product costing.
  • Pricing Maintenance: Update, maintain, and audit intercompany transfer pricing across the 22-plant network.
  • Cross-Plant Alignment: Ensure alignment of transfer prices between shipping and receiving plants within ERP systems.
  • Compliance Tracking: Document transfer pricing methodologies to support corporate tax and internal compliance rules.
  • Performance Benchmarking: Build/Maintain KPI dashboards to rank and compare plant efficiency and profitability.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist Senior Financial Analysts with annual operational budgets and monthly rolling forecasts.
  • Profitability Reporting: Analyze product line and plant-specific margins to guide corporate pricing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
  • CMA, CPA, or CFA designation is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of cost accounting or financial analysis experience within manufacturing (building materials or roofing industry experience is a plus).
  • Hands-on experience working within JDE ERP platform. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI, Reports Now is an asset.
  • Ability to travel up to as needed to visit multi-state plant operations.
