Position Title: Finance Planning & Analysis Manager – Canada
Location: Mississauga/Hybrid
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Planning & Analysis Manager to join our team in Canada. As a key member of the Finance department, you will play a crucial role in driving financial planning and analysis activities, contributing to strategic decision-making, and ensuring the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, coupled with excellent communication and leadership skills. This report will report to the VP FP&A North America, with a dotted line into the General Manager, Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Forecasting:
- Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs, assumptions, and insights for accurate financial projections.
- Budget Management:
- Oversee the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish realistic and achievable financial goals.
- Monitor budget variances and provide proactive analysis to identify opportunities or challenges.
- Performance Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess business performance, identifying key drivers and trends.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and variances.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication of financial information.
- Ad Hoc Analysis:
- Undertake ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed, providing decision support to various business units.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial planning software is an asset.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Previous experience in a managerial or leadership role preferred.
