Department Overview:

The Canadian Personal and Commercial (Cad P&C) Finance organization is a team of professionals that provides finance and advisory support to Canadian Personal Banking and Business Banking, which form the largest Segment of TD Bank. The Performance Measurement and Insights (PMI) finance team supports the development and achievement of Cad P&C financial and strategic objectives through robust reporting and forecasting capabilities, strategic decision support, and competitive benchmarking insights. The team supports the segment business leaders as well as their CFOs through business and financial insights and advice. The PMI teams works closely with enterprise partners such as Investor Relations, Enterprise Decision Support, Treasury & Balance Sheet Management, as well as Credit Risk.

Job Description:

The Manager, PMI reports to the Senior Group Manager, PMI and works with a talented and diverse team of professionals to provide finance advisory support, insights and analysis, and decision support for all lines of business within the Cad P&C Segment.

This role is a great opportunity to build a deep understanding of the largest segment of TD Bank, support and advise senior business and finance executives, and build an extensive network across Finance and the Cad P&C businesses while helping to build finance capabilities for the organization.

The primary accountabilities of the Manager include:

  • Providing Finance advisory, thought leadership and support on the Cad P&C Expense Portfolio including inputs into the MOR and Flash Process
  • The preparation of business performance reporting packages for the senior executive team
  • Managing the Planning and Forecasting process for the Segment and working with stakeholders across EDS and various consolidation teams (Personal Banking and Business Banking)
  • Providing Finance Support to the Senior Manager Personal Banking Consolidation including inputs into the MOR Process

Job Requirements:

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities – ability to synthesize a large amount of information into clear, concise analysis and recommendations
  • Strong communication skills tailored to a senior executive audience
  • Ability to re-design and streamline processes to ensure control and accuracy, while operating with efficiency
  • Highly motivated with an ability to manage competing priorities
  • Organizational awareness – knowing how to engage the organization to get things done
  • Business acumen – understanding the business from the ground up and the key levers that will deliver superior results
  • CPA/CA/CFA designation would be an asset
