What You’ll Do
Lead all financial activities, including month-end reports, planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance – for equivant SCP
Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals.
Drive process improvements and champion new technologies to modernize financial operations.
Present financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership, helping shape company strategy.
Occasional travel (2-3x per year) to company events and portfolio summits.
Key Responsibilities
Participate and oversee full-cycle accounting, ensuring accuracy and timely monthly and quarterly consolidated financial reporting under IFRS.
Lead budgeting and forecasting, collaborating with department heads to set ambitious yet achievable targets.
Lead quarterly and annual forecasting across the Justice Group working with the Group Leader and GMs to drive growth and financial efficiency.
Deliver clear, actionable financial reports and analysis to support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and all relevant regulations.
Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing robust internal controls.
Monitor KPIs and leverage data to uncover opportunities for growth and efficiency.
Drive business and process transformation, streamlining workflows and supporting data-driven decisions.
Provide financial leadership and support to M&A activities at the Portfolio level, as required.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field (professional designation such as ACCA, CPA).
6+ years of progressive accounting experience (3+ years in a leadership role ideal).
Strong knowledge of IFRS (especially IFRS 15 and 16).
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience in technology-driven businesses or SaaS is a plus.
Experience with financial systems implementation and process improvement; familiarity with BPC, GP, NetSuite, or similar systems an asset.
Analytical, strategic thinker focused on actionable outcomes and process improvement.
