Core Responsibilities:

Project Accounting & Client Financial Management

  • Master the full project lifecycle: From initial budget setup through real-time tracking to final profitability analysis, ensuring every client campaign is financially optimized
  • Navigate complex billing structures: Manage retainer agreements, project-based billing, and media buying advances with precision and clarity
  • Drive profitability insights: Provide actionable financial analysis that helps project teams make informed decisions about resource allocation and scope management
  • Strengthen client relationships: Ensure billing accuracy and timeliness while serving as a trusted financial partner to our Client Services team

Media Buying Financial Oversight

  • Optimize media investments: Monitor media buying budgets, track vendor payments, and ensure accurate reconciliation across all advertising platforms
  • Deliver performance insights: Connect financial data with campaign performance metrics to support data-driven media optimization decisions
  • Manage vendor relationships: Oversee payment schedules, contract compliance, and dispute resolution with media partners and platforms

Financial Operations & Process Excellence

  • Streamline core processes: Handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payment processing with efficiency and accuracy
  • Build scalable systems: Develop and refine financial workflows that support growth.
  • Enhance reporting capabilities: Create insightful financial dashboards and reports that empower leadership decision-making
  • Support budget management: Collaborate with department heads on budget development, variance analysis, and forecasting

Strategic Business Support

  • Enable new business growth: Provide financial analysis and pricing support for new client opportunities and service expansion
  • Drive operational efficiency: Identify cost optimization opportunities and process improvements across agency operations
  • Support cash flow management: Monitor working capital, manage client collections, and support strategic financial planning

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of progressive finance and accounting experience
  • Marketing agency or project-based environment experience preferred
  • Professional development: CPA progress or completion preferred but not required

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Excel expertise: Financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis
  • System adaptability: Experience with project management tools, billing systems, and financial software(Quickbooks)
  • Project accounting knowledge: Understanding of job costing, time tracking, and project profitability analysis
