Role Description

As the Field Marketing Manager, you’ll lead the strategy and execution of field marketing activities across North America. Reporting to the Director of Field & Customer Marketing, you’ll be responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive field marketing programs encompassing third-party events, Dropbox-driven events, and regional activities that progress pipeline deals. This role requires a strategic mindset to develop and execute programs that drive meaningful engagement with target accounts and deliver measurable business impact. This is a high-impact and visible role for a creative and data-driven marketing professional with expertise in field marketing and event management.

Responsibilities

  •  Develop and execute a comprehensive field marketing strategy for North America that aligns with company objectives and supports revenue growth through various event types: third-party, Dropbox-driven, and regional events.
  • Create and manage a field marketing event calendar that strategically positions Dropbox at industry events, trade shows, and customer-focused activities throughout the year.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales teams to ensure field marketing activities directly support pipeline generation and deal progression within target accounts.
  • Design and implement pre-event and post-event engagement strategies to maximize attendance, participation, and lead conversion from field marketing activities.
  • Manage vendor relationships, venue selection, contract negotiations, and budget allocation across all field marketing initiatives in North America.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including campaign strategy, sales, product marketing, and content marketing, to ensure consistent messaging and maximize the impact of field marketing programs.
  • Track and analyze program performance using key metrics, providing regular reporting on ROI and making data-driven recommendations for program optimization.
  • Collaborate with the content strategy team to develop compelling event materials, presentations, and promotional assets that align with Dropbox brand guidelines.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of B2B marketing experience within SaaS technology companies, with at least 2+ years focused on field marketing and event management
  • Proven track record of successfully building and scaling field marketing programs that drive measurable business results.
  • Strong understanding of B2B lead flow processes and experience working closely with marketing ops, sales ops, and direct sales teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects and events with attention to detail and consistent execution
  • Experience in budget management and vendor negotiations for large-scale events and marketing programs.
  • Data-driven approach with experience in analyzing program performance and providing actionable insights for optimization
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing SaaS productivity solutions or related categories, with understanding of both sales-assisted and product-led growth models
  • Previous experience managing field marketing programs across multiple regions or territories.
  • Experience with event management platforms and marketing automation tools.
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
