What you’ll do:

  • Provide technical customer support including problem replication / resolution
  • Experience in dealing with in-house and/or external end customers
  • Functional system level testing and validation of Software and Hardware
  • Collaborate with development team to plan tests through product design cycle
  • Generate and follow-up with defects tracked in a project management database
  • Work with multiple teams and departments across the company to validate solutions
  • Create and update test procedures and conformance forms, help update product documentation
  • Maintain Lab testing equipment and troubleshoot hardware/software
    issues
  • Assist with demo preparation            
  • Help identify, define, and design improvements for the product line

Requirements:

To join our growing evTOC team you’ll need the following to make our team better:

  • Work experience in a similar or related field – Software Validation, Quality Assurance (QA), Hardware Validation, System Test Engineering
  • Degree or Diploma in Computer, Electrical or Systems Engineering, Broadcast Television/ Film and/or Media Production is an asset
  • Experience in data communication networks and associated protocols and technologies such as TCP, UDP, Multicasting, QoS, RTP, TLS, SNMP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, Layer 2 and 3 switching, firewalls, NATs and basic network security principles is an asset
  • Knowledge of Linux is desirable
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and/or Testrail is an asset
  • Understanding video and compression is desirable
  • Must be eligible for international travel and be able to work alone with little or no supervision
  • A clear and concise communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented and observant

Location: Burlington, Ontario 
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours.
Vacancy: This is an existing position. 
Salary Range: $50,000 to $70,000 per year, based on experience.
