Are you looking for a career in venture at one of the fastest growing funds in B2B tech?

Forum Ventures is hiring an Events & Ecosystem Manager to lead our North American events program and grow our founder ecosystem. This is a manager-level role that combines hands-on execution with strategic oversight. You’ll be responsible for running ~80 events annually, creating repeatable but adaptable playbooks, and ensuring every event strengthens our brand, drives founder engagement, and generates high-quality inbound opportunities for our accelerator and venture studio.

We invest in 75+ early-stage companies annually across North America, backing ambitious founders with capital, hands-on support, and a deep founder community. As a member of our marketing team, you’ll play a lead role in building and scaling external founder communities, developing partnerships, and owning our event strategy and execution. This is not a passive role. If you’re looking for a place to design impactful programs, create memorable experiences, and grow Forum’s presence in the startup ecosystem, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead Event Strategy & Execution

    • Own end-to-end event management across North America, such as coffee meetups, hands-on workshops, and large-scale gatherings.

    • Manage a part-time event coordinator for logistics (venues, catering, vendors), while staying accountable for full event delivery.

    • Partner with investment, marketing, and leadership teams to align each event with founder sourcing goals.

  • Grow and Leverage the Ecosystem

    • Build relationships with universities, accelerators, incubators, early-stage VCs, and founder-facing influencers across major tech hubs.

    • Partner with above to co-host events and access new founder communities.

  • Sponsorships

    • Identify, pitch, and secure event-level sponsorships.

    • Manage sponsor relationships end-to-end, from initial outreach through contract confirmation and post-event follow-up.

    • Partner with the COO to ensure sponsor deliverables are met and that partners receive strong ROI from their engagement.

  • Promote and Amplify

    • Own event promotion, working with marketing teammates to create and distribute assets across digital and partner channels.

    • Drive distribution of events and initiatives through ecosystem partners, extending Forum’s reach into new founder networks.

    • Iterate on established distribution playbooks per city, understanding where founders are finding events and expanding to those channels.

    • Ensure every founder looking for their first check knows Forum Ventures and has a positive brand experience.

  • Measure, Learn, Evolve

    • Develop and maintain dashboards that track KPIs for all events: attendance, quality of founder leads, sourcing channel performance, cost-per-lead, etc.

    • Run A/B tests on event formats, promo strategies, and partnerships to identify what actually drives strong attendance and pipeline.

    • Share insights with the broader marketing team to improve go-to-market strategies for events.

    • Stay in the know about trends in the event space and make recommendations about how we should evolve and level up.

  • Budget & Operations

    • Own the events budget to ensure resources are allocated effectively across markets and formats.

    • Leverage AI and agentic workflows to streamline operations, reporting, and promotional processes, creating space for higher-level strategy.

Who You Are
  • Based on in Toronto, with the ability to attend in person-events and meetings

  • Ideally you have 5+ years of experience in events management and community building in tech of VC or tech, but we’re also open to candidates with proven high-volume event execution backgrounds.

  • You’re digitally native, comfortable experimenting with AI tools, sharing content online, and finding creative ways to grow community impact.

  • You’re metrics-driven. You want to know what worked, what didn’t, and how to make the next one even better.

  • You thrive on creating experiences that bring founders and partners together, whether that’s a 200-person summit or a scrappy community meetup.

  • You’re endlessly curious about startups and the tech ecosystem, and love being plugged into what’s next.

  • You’re a strong communicator and relationship-builder. You can make partners feel valued, distill feedback into action, and keep stakeholders aligned.

  • You’re highly operational and organized. Running dozens of events annually with precision and efficiency excites you, not overwhelms you.

  • Bonus: You’ve built something yourself, a side hustle, startup, newsletter, or community, and know what it takes to create momentum from zero.
