Who We Are

SWTCH is pioneering EV charging solutions for multifamily and commercial properties across North America. Since 2016, our team of entrepreneurs, energy professionals, and technologists has been focused on unlocking the social, economic, and environmental benefits of widespread EV adoption. Today, our solutions are deployed in tens of thousands of locations —many of which are low-to-moderate income housing—helping to make clean mobility accessible for all.

With an expanding footprint across Canada and the U.S., we’re scaling quickly and looking for mission-driven talent to help accelerate our growth.

Job Opportunity

We’re looking for an EV Deployment Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in commissioning, project coordination, and remote troubleshooting of EV charging infrastructure. You’ll work closely with internal teams — including Sales Engineering, Product, and Customer Support — to ensure successful site activations, optimize network connectivity, and help shape process improvements for future deployments.

Reporting directly to the Deployment Manager, you will support customers, stakeholders, field technicians and installers while coordinating internally to move projects forward and resolve blockers. If you’re technically curious, process-driven, and passionate about clean energy, this role offers a chance to directly influence how charging infrastructure is deployed across North America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute remote commissioning activities for EV chargers and accessories including networking/IoT equipment across multiple OEMs and network types.
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve site issues using tools such as Datadog, Zendesk, reviewing charger and networking data/configurations, while ensuring internal projects and interdepartmental issues continue to move forward.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Support, and Product teams to address deployment blockers, streamline communication, and advance internal initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and project tracking through Slack, Google Workspace, and shared dashboards.
  • Identify recurring issues and contribute to process automation and workflow improvements.
  • Support installers and partners remotely during commissioning and troubleshooting sessions.
  • Uphold high standards for commissioning excellence, accuracy, and communication during all deployment activities to ensure long-term reliability and longevity of deployed sites.

Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Sustainable Energy, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DHCP, static IPs, VPN, port forwarding, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems or low-voltage hardware
  • Experience with Zendesk or similar ticketing/CRM platforms
  • Experience with Datadog or similar data logging platforms
  • Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of OCPP and EV charger communications preferred
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills with strong attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, startup-style environment with evolving priorities
  • Passion for clean energy, technology, and sustainable mobility

Benefits
  • Business Impact - As a core member of the operations team, you have the opportunity to take a lead role and make a significant impact on the culture and values of the company.
  • Environmental Impact - We are a clean energy company with a mission to reduce carbon emissions globally to ensure a clean and sustainable future.
  • Diversity - People develop their talents and skills in different ways. We value different paths and experiences. If you think you meet the qualifications we are seeking, take a chance and express.
