Position: ERP / CRM Business Analyst
Role Overview
The Senior Business Analyst supports the delivery of
assigned enhancements within a large‑scale public‑sector modernization
initiative, including functionality sequenced beyond the Minimum Viable Product
(MVP).
This role bridges business requirements, solution
configuration, and validation activities. The Senior Business Analyst works
closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to elicit,
analyze, and refine business and functional requirements. Strong communication
and interpersonal skills are essential to build effective working
relationships, facilitate discussions, and ensure business needs are accurately
understood, documented, and clearly articulated.
The Senior Business Analyst translates business needs into
clear, prioritized user stories and acceptance criteria and plays a key role in
validating that implemented solutions meet business expectations. This includes
active participation in testing and quality assurance activities from a
business validation perspective, supporting system, integration, and user
acceptance testing (UAT), validating outcomes against documented requirements,
and confirming readiness for business sign‑off and deployment.
The role involves close collaboration with solution
architects, developers, testing teams, and business users throughout the
delivery lifecycle, from requirements definition through testing, deployment,
and transition to operations. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer
Engagement (CE) and Finance & Operations (F&O) is considered an asset,
particularly where business processes interact with financial or accounting
functions.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Functional Requirements
- Elicit,
analyze, and document business and functional requirements in
collaboration with business stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Develop
clear, prioritized user stories and business‑led acceptance criteria
aligned with approved scope and objectives
Functional Design & Configuration Support
- Provide
functional guidance for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and F&O
configuration, customization, workflows, forms, dashboards, reports, and
integrations
- Participate
in functional and technical design reviews to ensure alignment with
business requirements and best practices
Testing & Validation (Business QA Ownership)
- Develop
and document business test scenarios, test cases, and validation results
- Support
system integration testing (SIT), UAT, regression testing, and deployment
readiness activities
- Verify
configured solutions against documented requirements and acceptance
criteria
- Validate
test outcomes and confirm readiness for business sign‑off prior to
deployment
Defect & Issue Management
- Support
defect identification, analysis, and business validation during testing
and deployment
- Assess
business impact and collaborate with delivery teams to escalate high‑impact
issues
Operational Readiness & Knowledge Transfer
- Support
deployment readiness, transition activities, documentation, and knowledge
transfer to enable sustainable operations beyond MVP
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
- 8–10+
years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise IT
initiatives
- Proven
experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE and/or Finance & Operations
in enterprise environments
- Experience
supporting large‑scale system implementations or modernization programs,
including post‑go‑live enhancements
- Experience
working in structured governance environments with formal testing,
validation, and approval processes
- Strong
analytical, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to
validate solutions against requirements and acceptance criteria
Assets
- Microsoft
Dynamics 365 certification (e.g., Finance Functional Consultant Associate
or equivalent)
