Job Title: Automation & Product Engineer

 

Job Summary
The Automation & Product Engineer supports the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of robotics products and automation solutions across its portfolio. This role bridges customer applications, product engineering, and system integration to ensure solutions address real-world manufacturing challenges and can be deployed safely, reliably, and at scale.Working closely with customers, plant teams, product development teams, and technology partners, the Automation & Product Engineer translates application requirements into product enhancements, deployment best practices, and future product opportunities.


Responsibility

  • Evaluate customer and manufacturing applications to identify opportunities for robotics and automation solutions.
  • Translate application and deployment requirements into product and system requirements.
  • Support product development, validation, benchmarking, and deployment activities across the robotics portfolio.
  • Collaborate with customers, plant teams, suppliers, and technology partners to ensure successful solution deployment.
  • Evaluate and integrate complementary technologies including tooling, vision, safety, and automation systems.
  • Support safety, compliance, and risk assessment activities for robotics applications.
  • Capture lessons learned from deployments and drive continuous improvement of products and applications.
  • Develop technical documentation, standards, and best practices to support product adoption and scalability.

Academic/Educational Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.

Required Skills/Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in automation, robotics, manufacturing engineering, or industrial systems.
  • Experience deploying or supporting robotic and automated systems in industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with robotics, controls, machine vision, sensors, safety systems, and industrial automation technologies.
  • Experience working with customers, integrators, suppliers, or manufacturing operations is an asset.
