Job Description

The Transportation Division of AECOM is actively seeking an Electrical Designer for employment in the Mississauga office.

This will be a full-time position expected to begin as soon as possible.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: 

  • Design of traffic signals and illumination for various clients
  • Preparation of lighting and traffic signal layouts
  • Preparation of wiring diagrams and electrical details
  • Photometric analysis of lighting systems
  • Voltage drop calculations
  • Preparation of contract documents and specifications
  • Site visits and contract administration

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have completed a Degree in Electrical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of various municipal and MTO lighting and traffic signal design standards
  • Knowledge of MTO Contract Preparation System (CPS)
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of lighting and traffic signal design
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoLUX and Microsoft Office
