At Magna, the EHS Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards. The role involves identifying risks, implementing preventive measures, and training employees on best practices. Responsibilities include conducting audits, investigating incidents, and applying corrective actions. Additionally, the position supports environmental impact reduction, adapts to local regulations, and guarantees accurate reporting aligned with company standards.
Hiring Requirements
Assist in the development and implementation of EHS policies and procedures in line with local regulations, Magna International requirements, and ISO standards.
Conduct hazard identification assessments and analyze environmental aspects for the site and contribute to the development of appropriate action plans.
Support safety and environmental training and communication programs for employees.
Contribute to investigations of EHS incidents to identify causes and recommend appropriate actions.
Participate in monitoring and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety and environmental performan
Collaborate with the team to promote positive and proactive safety and environmental culture.
Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Assist in implementing and maintaining the ergonomic program in accordance with legal and Magna International requirements.
Conduct internal EHS tours in the plant, adhering to regulations and internal procedures.
Assist in developing and implementing the EHS operating program, including waste management, hazardous material handling, emergency procedures, EHS legal compliance checks, and defining personal protective equipment (PPE) for each area.
Required Profile
Bac+5 professional training in EHS management systems or equivalent.
2 years' experience in a similar position desirable.
Knowledge of ISO14K and ISO45K standards and EHS certifications
Knowledge of labor code and Local EHS regulations
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Fluent in French and English.
Proven ability to manage stress and conflicts.
Excellent command of IT tools (specifically ERP such as SAP, WMS, and advanced Excel).
